Water is an element with innumerable qualities. Water can be murky or transparent. It can drown or quench thirst. It can be soft as a trickle or forceful, removing obstacles in its path. It can destroy or spring forth new life.
Today, we were each asked by our board to describe what water symbolizes. Their perspective, as always, was deep and meaningful.
The words we use to describe water can represent the emotional energy we value in ourselves, or a reflection of our own innate qualities, or our perception of how we relate to others.
The meaning of water is unique to each of us. But one quality of water that is common to us all is its rarity; a resource that should not be taken for granted. We are reminded of the rarity of earth’s water in our galaxy, and its capacity for magic as the raw material of creation. Think of water as your life-force, a conduit for life purpose, a powerful force for creation, and as such, be mindful of whom drinks from your well of water.
So tell us of your water. What does it symbolize for you? We hope our conversation inspires you to reflect on how water relates to your life.
Marguerite, with her ease of expression and use of tropes to inform and illuminate, opens the conversation with a well of good wishes!
Marguerite: Waves of love wash over you today, swim, drenched in the joy of co-creation! We are here in love, infinitely. Let us speak then of ‘water’ and all things related to this element. We ask you now, what does water symbolize for you?
Elena: For me, water symbolizes cleansing, life, transparency, and fluidity. It also symbolizes strength. Is that what you were asking? Let me see if there is anything else that water represents for me. Did I say life?
Are you watching others water and irrigate the gardens of their lives from your well while you toil in cracked soil to nurse a seedling in yours?
Marguerite: Indeed. Yes. May we offer a perspective?
Elena: Of course…always!
Marguerite: Yes. We pose that these qualities represent a reflection of emotional consciousness that you value both in yourself and what you truly seek in others. We ask, how many in your life make you thirst? How many slate-quench your thirst?
Elena: Few quench my thirst.
Eryn: These are the qualities that you value in the emotional energy of others.
Elena: I don’t have many people in my life who posses those qualities.
Marguerite: You are each a well of love, a deep spring, we ask that you regard this as not only true but to value this well-spring within you. As residents of this area [meaning California], you can appreciate how essential this resource [is] and the complications that can develop when this is taken for granted.
Be conscientious of those whom drink from your well. Are they over stepping the boundaries of the well? Are they gorging on your life-force to quell their dammed well? Is there yet enough for you? Are you watching others water and irrigate the gardens of their lives from your well while you toil in cracked soil to nurse a seedling in yours? Water asks this of each of us.
Elena: Thank you Marguerite. This is so true for me. I’m always giving away my water, and have little left for me—for my garden—until I have nothing more to offer. I’ve been working on this in all areas of my life; setting boundaries with people and realizing I don’t have to over extend myself or what I have to offer to be loved, accepted, or noticed.
For indeed, in your very galaxy, earth’s water is an anomaly that has allowed for unto creation, rivaled only by the spark of inception itself.
Marguerite: Eryn, dear beauty, tell us of your water.
Eryn: When I think of water, I think of the duality of water because it can be scorching hot and incredibly cold; it can be soft and pleasant, and it can destruct. It’s dynamic in many ways. When I think of water, I think of nature; I think of the planet…it is the soul of our planet, really. I think of Atlantis and shipwrecks and how the ocean hides so many mysteries. Specifically related to me, I think about how I never feel thirsty and how I never drink enough water.
Marguerite: See in this a beautiful reflection of your interiority and a question of how you perceive relating to others.
Elena: So how do you see that relating to others? You described a lot; you said duality, hiding mysteries…
Marguerite: Destruction.
Elena: Yes, thank you for that reminder! You also said it was the soul of mother earth, nature.
Marguerite: It is this capacity for magic that you are describing. For indeed, in your very galaxy, earth’s water is an anomaly that has allowed for unto creation, rivaled only by the spark of inception itself. We say, turn inwards, gaze into this well and do not project fear into that darkness. For your well runs deep, indeed, what you are seeing is that creative material of the entire universe. Power, dear one, it can destroy, yes, but just as water can wash the land, see how it removes all obstacles and springs forth new life! Yes!
Eryn: So what I was really describing is the raw creative power of water…its magic. What you are saying is that in our entire galaxy, our planet is an anomaly because we have water. So you want me to look at myself like that, as an anomaly?
Marguerite: Yes.
Elena: So do you look at this darkness in your well? Perhaps you may be projecting some fear into that?
Marguerite: And indeed in your potential relationships with others. Your well runs deep but in others come to you bearing for you their water, you do not readily trust it—will this water replenish or destroy? Trust and do not look a gift gourde in the mouth!
Eryn: I guess that’s why I never feel thirsty. I may have my own well—and perhaps that’s why I never feel thirsty—but I’m also not getting enough water from others and I need to accept water and be replenished by others too.
Marguerite: Yes!!!!!
[Marguerite turns to our cousin Sky who was visiting us today.]
Marguerite: Dear Sky, tell us of your water.
Sky: It is refreshing, cleansing, and clear. It quenches my thirst, which feels wonderful. It’s like a conduit.
Marguerite: We ask that you see in yourself these innate qualities and recognize that you can create a paradigm where this can be brought more fully by another. When you embrace it has, it will taste akin to this sated sensation.
Sky: Are you referring to a man, or people in general?
A flood of counter-examples washing the structure of your expectations and life narratives to allow you to see all the space available for raw possibility.
Marguerite: We speak in layers, of course, but to say that indeed life partnership can be this for you. You will not perceive this possibility to be so overwhelming. It will not crush or drown out your personhood as you anticipate it to, when you come to know this new paradigm that awaits you. You will feel satiated, enriched, you will see how its co-creation will act as a conduit for life purpose, love, and expansive joy!
Elena: Yes, because this is your perception of reintroducing a man into your life…that it may drown out your individuality or have the potentiality of being crushed.
Sky: But I have to change my perspective first.
Eryn: I think Marguerite is saying that the work you are doing in your channeling will help shift that for you, because you will see and feel what it will be like to be sated by your higher self and guides, how it will act as a conduit for everything you want to create in your life, and how your relationship with a man will emulate this relationship with your guides.
Eryn: Yes, I’m beginning to see it. I have a new friend who has a beautiful marriage. And I thought, I want that! I didn’t see this before. And now these examples are coming to me.
Marguerite: To show you. A flood of counter-examples washing the structure of your expectations and life narratives to allow you to see all the space available for raw possibility.
Elena: Beautifully said! Thank you so much.
Marguerite: Dwell in your pure essence, all of your well to carry its true energy and honor the wisdom of your planet’s emotional consciousness. For she offers her truest love for you when she does this. May you make great waves in the tide of your exalted, ascendant soul in unity. All love, dearests, for infinitum. Good Bye.
