Scarcity: The most vile of illusions

  I remember the day when my son brought home a stray dog, which he named ‘Charlie.’ Charlie seemed like a sweet dog, even though he was a little apprehensive with me. I knew he had been roaming the streets for some time; he was clearly undernourished. So I quickly borrowed a bowl from Bella (our four-legged family member), filled it with food, and set it down.
